North of Rostock you can find quiet surroundings (for us city people) to relax and enjoy nature. The beautiful beach invites to go for a walk and by bike you can just go about everywhere. Although Rostock Zoo needs some improvements of the enclosures at some places (they are working on it), the park is very nice. In Rostock Center we really enjoyed the wonderful renovated buildings. Of course we also have to mention Molli, the steam train which is used as public transportation between Bad Doberan and Kühlungsborn. We really enjoyed it here and when we have the opportunity we certainly will go back for another visit.
